LONDON 1886.

A courageous few willingly journeyed by sea from London to the far side of the world in 1886. Among them, a doctor, on this treacherous journey with hope for a better life.

Instead, they arrived at Port Misery, South Australia… a dark swamp, like nothing they’d ever imagined. A place of lawlessness, low morals and high vice, far from the promising new beginnings they sought.

At that moment they thought, if hope had brought them here, to this dismal place, surely this was ‘Hopes End’. And so it was named.

…and for the doctor, the extraordinary idea to make a different kind of tonic, Australian Red Blend wine.

Red Blend

It ends with the darkness and depth of our ripe red fruit and our deliciously indulgent taste. Notes of Forest fruit jam, vanilla with subtle oak, a hint of chocolate and a velvety, smooth finish.

We drink this Australan Red Blend Wine to each day that begins in hope with the virtue of our daylight endeavours, but which ends with the vice of your pleasures in the darkness and the adventure of tonight.

Brandy Barrel Aged Cabernet

A unique and intriguing wine. Time spent acquiring the flavour and character from barrels previously used to mature Australia’s most awarded brandy has led to notes of blackberry, vanilla and chocolate interwoven in an indulgent mix of blueberry pie, truffles and spicy overtones from the barrels and their previous occupant.
